Passover 2009

We had a wonderful time at Larry and Molli's home.
Everyone made us feel very welcome.
We started the seder with Larry
reading a touching Passover tale.
After everyone had a turn reading,
we were regaled by a particularly rousing song
by Lauren's husband, Mark.

We were fortunate to be seated across from two hard working college students. In blue, is Rachel, a physical therapy student who had a lovely toenail polish and her pal Jessica, who is studying classical history, whose eyes lit up when I told her I was reading "The Spartacus War" by Barry Strauss.

Jessica was gracious enough to stoically read probably the longest excerpt of any of us. To her right, is her mother Rosanna, who made a scrumptious dark chocolate mousse pie and had a smile for everyone.

Here is Debra and Daniel who shared toy tales. Debra was delighted to inform me about Daniel's charming habit of saving special mementos. Now I know Daniel and I are kindred spirits.

Passover 2009

Another photo of Larry reading with Molli,
Arnold and Dorathy on the right.
I got to sit next to who Dorathy was
her usual supportive self
wanting to hear of Adam's college plans.
We also enjoyed exchanging household preferences.
She is enjoying her new single storied layout,
while I'm happy to mountain climb our three levels.
Bret was the lucky one to wear
the Grateful Dead kippah.
Adam's curly locks provided
protection from the paparazzi.
Stretching her legs, this budding artist
Melissa, aspires to be a veternarian.

On the right, Risa standing near Gary and Lauren
and Arnold. Risa brought a delicious tender brisket.

I didn't get a good photo of Rachel, helping at the sink with Molli, who is in nursing school; but she was kind enough to share a glimpse of her book collection.

Amy and Richard showed up just as we were leaving. It was late or we would have stuck around a little while. Hopefully, our paths will cross longer next time.

Pssst: someone hurry up and email me with names of those I have so thoughtlessly forgotten, please do, and I will promptly edit before they find out.
